Happy when a role gets more popular than actor: SonuSood

Sonu Sood, who has been commended for his acts in 'Dabangg' and 'Shootout at Wadala', says he feels moral when a personality becomes more widely held than him.


"It is a key phase of my life. I am relishing playing the characters that I am doing now. I hope my forthcoming movies do well, bring glories for all of us," Sonu told PTI.


The most talented actor played an antihero in 'Dabangg' and his character of 'Bhaiyaji' was being fond of by all. Currently Sonu Sood has exciting flicks lined up like Sahid’s 'R...Rajkumar' and SRK’s 'Happy New Year'.


"I am proud to be named as Bhaiyaji. My character in 'R...Rajkumar' is too good, may be folks will then recollect me as Shivraj. As well as even I have an extraordinary role in 'Happy New Year'. Once characters become large and widely held than our names then it feels good," Sonu said.


Sonu Sood is playing antihero role in Shah Rukh Khan upcoming film “Happy New Year” and he has teamed up for first time in his career with Shah Rukh Khan. Farah Khan is the director of the film 'Happy New Year'.


"I have thoroughly liked watching SRK as an actor. Working with him as a co-actor and producer was great. He is the supreme actor to come across in the filmy circles," he added.


Sonu Sood speaking about in work with Khans duo (Salman and Sharukh) said that "Both are great persons. They are fruitful people and their friendliness is reflected in their work. It was wonderful working with both of them".


However boogying is not Sonu Sood's thing, but he has still tried his best in the constituent part. He will be seen shaking a leg in the song 'Kaddu Katega' from 'R...Rajkumar' and also in “Happy New Year”.


Sonu Sood talking about his dancing involvement for his two forthcoming cinemas “I liked dancing...I enjoyed it thoroughly. I am sure people will love it".
