Rajamouli’s Hindi Eega flies high

Ace director Rajamouli got the shock of his life with the dismal performance of his graphical pageant Makkhi (Eega Hindi version) at the Box Office, despite receiving good reviews and good word of mouth.

This film has collected just Rs 2.06 cr in its opening weekend and the net total was Rs 2.90 cr at the end of first 6 days. Rajamouli mayn't have expected this poor reception for a movie which is widely appreciated by critics and film lovers who had seen it. Replasing Nani with a known face in Bollywood might have helped the movie to reach out to North audience, but it's too late by then. No doubt that this Tollywood Ace director is upset over Makkhi's failure. But, he has got something to cheer up now.

Finally, the much-needed relief has come for director with the satellite rights of the Hindi version Eega fetching a whooping Rs 8 cr which is a never heard amount for a Telugu dubbing film. This will give a big boost for this tough task maker who is upcoming film is an Rs 60 cr multi-language (Hindi-Telugu).
