Blockbuster combination of Rajini-K.S.Ravikumar-A.R.Rahman returns. South Indian Superstar Rajinikanth’s follow-up to ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ will be ‘Lingaa’ and the movie to be directed by K.S. Ravikumar, it was publicized on Tuesday.
Thalaivaa Rajinikanth starts shooting for his new film ‘Linga’ from 3rd May in Mysore. The movie produced by Rockline Venkatesh as per Kollywood rumour mill.
One and only Indian Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman will score the music and South Indian actress Anushka Shetty and Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha are the female leads going to play opposite to Rajnikanth in the film.
Director Ravikumar himself posted a teaser poster on his verified Facebook page (www.facebook.com/iamks-ravikumar) Tuesday evening, subsequent which the news went viral on social networks.
The newscast of Rajinikanth’s next movie just ahead of Kochadaiiyaan’s release on 9th May pleasingly surprised most followers. Many devotees of Rajnikanth pointed out on social networks that Lingaa is also Rajinikanth’s grandson’s name (son of Dhanush and Aishwarya), and noted that it would attest lucky for the Superstar.
There is gossip that the shooting for the venture will start soon in Mysore however there is no official term as yet on it. The whole list of technicians is not yet known however, once again, there is rumour by fans that Rathnavelu would be the cinematographer for this film. He had before work together with Rajinikanth in Shankar’s Enthiran.
Rajinikanth would be the fourth time is collaborating with Ravikumar and Rahman on a project, after ‘Muthu’ (1995), ‘Padayappa’ (1999) and ‘Kochadaiiyaan’. Ravikumar has also penned the story and screenplay of Kochadaiiyaan. The producer-cum-director likes a reputation of carrying blockbuster hits in the industry.
