Was that a publicity stunt?

Manchu Manoj's Potugadu movie didn't land up as expected by its makers. They were very excited on the release day of the movie and also went on to print posters reading '100 Days film' during the first week itself. Like many of Manoj's movies, Potugadu too didn't make much news after its first weekend.

On a whole it is just an average film with a commercial front. Producer Lagadapati Sridhar announced that he is going to remake Potugadu in Tamil with Simbu in the lead role. Simbu had sung a song in Potugadu and everyone thought that he might have liked the film and had a positive nodded for a Tamil remake.

Simbu in his recent press conference cleared the air and told that he is not in for Potugadu Tamil remake. He also added that he didn't see the flick and doesn't have dates to do that flick inhis current schedule. This proves that Tamil remake was used as a publicity stunt for Potugadu’s boosts which was a big failure. Producer didn't even contact Simbu before him announcing that he is ready and will be going to be Tamil remake
