Taapsee never seen her before photos."Never, not even in school or college when you want guys to come up and flirt with you. Not even a compliment or comment. Nothing," insists Taapsee Pannu. "Maybe they thought I would slap them, if they'd tried."
It's impossible to believe that this cloud of effervescence, this 100-watt-smile-in-the-mould-of-Preity Zinta could intimidate anyone, much less get physically violent. Even when she transforms from bubbly to Bellucci-esque for the GQ photo shoot — all smouldering eyes and tantalisingly long (and tatted-up) limbs — Taapsee dissolves into laughter every couple of minutes, tickled by the histrionics of make-up artist Elton Fernandez.
I offer a different theory: maybe this general reticence stems from the fact that men think they don't stand a chance with an attractive, gregarious, successful woman like her. And therefore, won't risk bruising their delicate egos. Another tinkling laugh. "Sure, I'd like to believe that."
