Akkineni Nageswara Rao No More

Telugu legendary actor Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao who made Indian Cinema proud with his unforgettable services is no more. He died early in the morning hours today (January 22nd ) at Care Hospitals in Hyderabad. He was suffering from cancer and undergoing treatment from couple of months.


Nagarjuna has confirmed the news.“At the last moment Dad has spoken to everyone happily and left us today. His body will be bought to Annapurna Studios at 9:30am on Wednesday morning where fans to pay respects to him. He said”


He was 91 years and was born on 20th Sep, 1924 in Venkataraghava Puram, Krishna Dist. The legendary actor made his acting debut in 1941 with Dharmapatni. He has acted in 256+ movies which are unforgatable and his last movie is 'Manam' still to release.


Dr. ANR was awarded with prominent awardes like Raghupathi Venkaiah award, Padma Vibhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke Award and more.
