Nagesh Kukunoor’s Lakshmi is sure to surprised

Creative filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor is best known for his movies “Iqbal” and “Dor” has launched the trailer of his future flick called “Lakshmi”. The movie deals with human trafficking and child prostitution, a depressed truth those triumphs among us, even today.


Built on a true story, the movie tells the story of a young teenage girl Lakshmi who has been kidnaped and forced into dismaying acts that leave her broken, so far she evolves into a robust mature young woman who ultimately is served justice.


The film’s trailer is without question heart spraining featuring disturbing, so far very real scenes and images.


The movie structures singer Monali Thankur as the lead actress. Monali Thankur came into the public interest for doing the playback for song 'Zara Zara Touch Me' of the movie, 'Race' and also stars actress Shefali Shah, TV actor Ram Kapoor and Nagesh Kukunoor himself, who will be seen in the character of a pimp.


The much anticipated flick is slated to hit screens by January 2014.
