Bollywood Actor Salman Khan appeared in a Mumbai court Yesterday (April 1st) in association with the hit-and-run case, the retrial of which has been adjourned to 28th April. The Super Star was present to file a request stating he would not be available on 8th April, the date the retrial was first adjourned to.
The case was schedule to begin on 26th March. Three witness who were to be examined in court that day unsuccessful to appear after which the trial was then adjourned to 8th April. Mr Khan was exempted from appearing in court.
The Super Star is accused of butchery one person and injuring four others when he drove his SUV over a number of people sleeping on the footpath in Bandra in 2002.
The case has moved out from court to court with influence centred on whether Mr Salman Khan was driving the car that day or not. The Mumbai police say they have sufficient proof against him
