Police Raid on Attarintiki Daredi Pirated DVDs Shops

Producer BVSN Prasad is successful in taking control over the alleged piracy of movie Attarintiki Daredi, which was leaked online on Sunday night. He had registered a case with the police officials, who have raided shops in Hyderabad on Monday and seized pirated CDs and DVDs of this Pawan Kalyan and Samantha starrer Telugu action-drama. He has also stopped the film from being spread on net. Talking about Attarintiki Daredi piracy, a police official told IANS, "We raided several CD and mobile servicing shops since morning and have seized pirated discs of the film. The shopkeepers have been selling the disc for Rs 50. We have taken them into custody and we are conducting raids throughout the state." He added, "The first copy of the film was sold in Pedana town near Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. It was circulated to the neighbouring districts as well." On Sunday, 90-minute footage of the film Attarintiki Daredi was released online. Following the leak, producer BVSN Prasad had filed a police complaint. The official spokesperson of the film said, "He pressed for immediate action against all those involved in the piracy. A special team has been assigned to raid the CD shops." Directed by Trivikram, Attarintiki Daredi, which was originally scheduled to release on Aug 9, will release in theatres this Friday (September 27). The film also features Pranitha, Boman Irani and Nadhiya in important roles.
