And looks like it's not going to remain restricted to primetime news slots on TV screens, for many filmmakers have announced projects “inspired“ from the sensational crime. From film screens to theatre stages, the case is set to be adapted on various mediums.
EK KAHANI JULIE KI, STARRING RAKHI SAWANT
rama queen Rakhi Sawant is ready to hog the limelight by portraying the role of Indrani Mukerjea in this film, the shooting for which has already begun! The actress was quoted telling the media, “My film Ek Kahaani Julie Ki is based on Indrani Mukerjea's life. I am so lucky because she's my best friend. I know her for many years now. I have won two reality shows on her channel and I have received a lot of prize money . I know Indrani, her husband Peter and I even knew Sheena.“ Actress Aackruti Nagpal is reportedly playing the role of Sheena.
INDRANI AB DEKH BHI LO
theatre production A by Lucknowite Mukesh Verma, the play called Indrani, Ab Dekh Bhi Lo, will be staged in the city in October. “My play will uncover the changing relationships changing relationships in families. The play will be in the form of a debate happening in a jail between Sheena Bora's spirit and her mother, Indrani,“ says Verma, adding, “ After staging it in Lucknow, we will be taking the play to Mumbai in December.“

oon after the details of the crime came S out, director and producer Manees Singh announced his plans of making a film based on the subject and roped in actress Supriya Nair to essay the role of Sheena. Manees has apparently begun his own investigations into the matter with three researchers on the job, and has commissioned “two of Bollywood's best script writers“ to start work on the script, for which he intends to start shooting in the next 3-4 months.

ilmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's next film is inadF vertently based on the Sheena Bora murder mystery , though it's a story that he had penned back in May . Bhatt said he as shocked that Ab Raat Guzarne-wali Hai had an uncanny resemblance to the case. “I empathise with the living hell Peter is going through and this is not a pathetic attempt to ride on his unspeakable tragedy . But bizarre as it may sound, fact is that this is a case of life imitating fiction rather than fiction imitating life,“ Bhatt said in a statement.
